Vote for the Weekly Cartoon

June is here, and the weather, at least in Utah, has changed dramatically. We hit our first 90 degree temperatures this week, as summer is announcing her unofficial arrival. That is 90 degrees Fahrenheit. If it were Celsius, we would likely all be dead.

It is this sort of weather that lends one to gaze at the clouds, for bosses to go on vacation, or to take up new hobbies (see the cartoons below). For me, I’m teaching my kids to fish, so as to do justice to their surname.

My boys have also shown an interest in poetry, as they have “discovered” Shel Silverstein, who writes of this time of year (“Here Comes”):

“Here comes summer,
Here comes summer,
Chirping robin, budding rose.
Here comes summer,
Here comes summer,
Gentle showers, summer clothes.
Here comes summer,
Here comes summer-
Whoosh- shiver- there it goes.”

I wasn’t feeling terribly witty with the extra voting options today. There is just space for that one person or those two people to share with me their disappointment with my cartoon selection.

Vote on the cartoon to be featured in next week's newsletter.
